![]() Most staff are back at work and church is getting back to normal; whatever that is. This week we have students on our new Distance Learning Course. Ike Graham is Principal of this and has the first year intake in for a week of orientation and teaching. This course will be of huge value to our churches around the nation, as the course is approved for student loans and allowances, and allows churches to have an intern in a funded position while they study and train. Tonight we have the Elim College Commencement Dinner where we welcome new and returning staff in a special night. Some of the guys are still learning what formal dress means but hopefully this year they will come with a tie of some description. I don’t think I even own a bow tie. On Saturday morning I am going to Manukau Hope Centre to speak with their leaders. Luka and Jo Robertson are building an amazing church in Manukau and I really enjoy the times when I catch up with Luka or get invited to speak into the church in some way. Luka is an outstanding leader and I believe that this will become one of the great churches in our nation. Jo taught in our school for a number of years. Marilyn and I met up with James and Viv Anson on Saturday while shopping. James has resigned from Church Unlimited in the city and is planning on starting a new church in the western side of the city in the Mount Albert/Point Chev. area. We pray that this will be a fruitful season of ministry for them. Sunday Marilyn and I are in the South with Boyd and Sharon. Plans are all coming together at this stage to complete the purchase of the Jehovah’s Witness HQ by mid August when we will relocate the South church. It’s going to be an exciting year.
