Last night I had the privilege of praying the prayer of blessing at the opening of the extension and refurbishment of the Rydges Hotel in Auckland. I was invited by Dr. HC and Dr. Heather Tan from Singapore, who are directors of New Bay Investments who own the hotel. They are a great Christian couple and are good friends of Roger and Abigail and Daniel and Mei from the church. Our Prime Minister John Key did the official opening so it was a privilege for Marilyn and I to meet him.
When the hotel was being gutted for the refurbishment, Daniel arranged for us to have the old furniture to distribute to families in need. Each weekend our guys went up and collected and distributed a truck load of beds, tables and TVs.
